Category: Whitechapel Gallery
Much like the Hayward Gallery Lightwaves has a long history with the Whitechapel, extending back to the Christopher Wren exhibition in 1982. We designed the lighting for the 1985 refurbishment, and recently designed and specified all the display lighting for the new galleries in the old library, as well as replacing all the track and fittings in the existing spaces to provide a compatible system throughout the enlarged gallery. We are now working on replacement LED fittings to update the gallery and reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs and continuing to light exhibitions.
